a/c makes ice in summer time

“Mommy, it’s Winter time outside!” That is what our 4 year seasoned yelled while playing in the yard while I learn a book in the shade… I looked up but didn’t guess much of what he had said, then after all, it was 90 degrees & hot.

“It is summer, baby,” I responded.

“There is snow & ice,” he insisted while playing next to our air conditioner condenser. I looked in his direction a little more intently & noticed white stuff on the ground! This is unusual. I got up & walked over to the compressor. That is when I noticed ice on the ground. There was actually a lot of ice all over the pipes leading from the compressor to the utility closet. There was even ice on the ground near the pipes & some ice on the compressor itself. I knew this wasn’t normal. I took out our cell cellphone & called our air conditioner supplier & explained what I was seeing. They told me to turn off the air conditioner & that they would be out soon to maintenance it. Thankfully the air conditioner specialists showed up before it got too boiling in the house. They ended up doing a air duct cleaning because our air duct was obstructed up & dirty. This was making our air conditioner work harder. It was also making the chilly air stay in the air conditioner as opposed to it spreading throughout the house, and good thing our child noticed the ice, but otherwise the air conditioner could have been damaged & this would have cost us a lot more, sometimes youngsters entirely do guess what they are talking about.
