Finding & sealing exterior gaps saves on the Heating, Ventilation & A/C costs

As I am new to living up north, the weather hasn’t been the easiest thing to get used to. Unlike the people, the food & the culture, I have found the Winter time weather to be just strenuous on me & our family. The weather conditions is so completely different to what I am accustomed to. Other than the Winter time weather, I am finding a lot to appreciate about this part of the country. It’s just the weather & the constant Heating, Ventilation & A/C heating that is getting to me. Never in our life have I been so reliant on Heating, Ventilation & A/C to keep warm. But even when I have the Heating, Ventilation & A/C heating cranked, our new home doesn’t know cozy at all. The first Winter time the two of us were here, I thought this was due to me just not being accustomed to the cold. This year, but, I am making sure the Heating, Ventilation & A/C people have a wonderful look at the oil furnace. I’m also being proactive in order to make the Heating, Ventilation & A/C heating as efficient as possible. I’m doing this by sealing the new home absolutely slim & replacing worn weather stripping. I’m also adding some insulation to the attic. Right away, I found 2 windows that were not officially sealed & insulated. I guess that was a major cause for the drafty cold the two of us felt all Winter time last year. I even went so far as to have new storm doors & windows installed. This winter, I’m not expecting the giant heating bills I had experienced. Hopefully, by sealing up the new home absolutely tight, the two of us will find that cozy sizzling Heating, Ventilation & A/C experience the two of us want at a significant savings.
