I remember how challenging things were back in private school. I had a particular professor that absolutely didn’t care about the students for some reason. It made myself and others wonder why somebody would become a professor if they hated doing that category of work. Whenever every one of us would have a test, the professor would purposely turn up the heating plan to make everybody sweat. It was borderline cruel plus unusual punishment, but this professor didn’t care. The professor never got in trouble because the temperature control settings were at 70 degrees which wasn’t considered to be dangerous. It was hot, but not to a serious degree. Still, I told my parents about this treatment from the professor plus a few other students complained too. Eventually, the pressure from the parents complaining about this professor forced the principal’s hand. He eventually had a stern talk with that professor plus said he had to keep the temperature control settings satisfactory. He ended up leaving the temperature control settings at 73 which was much better. Still not as comfortable as most other classrooms in the school, but all of us considered that a small victory. Still, it didn’t stop that professor from making everybody angry with extra homework plus easily strict grading. I was fortunate to make my way out of that class with a B, plus that sincerely was the highest grade in the class! Nobody had an A at all plus I thought that was easily ridiculous. These days, I am a professor. I make it a point to have excellent temperature control settings plus treat the students with dignity plus respect.
