New workshop gets some HVAC comfort

I have always enjoyed crafting projects, particularly wood working and restoring things.

It’s just been something that I have dabbled with over the past decade.

The idea of coming home from work only to sit on my butt in the HVAC and watch TV has never really been all that appealing. For much of my life, I have gotten out of the air conditioning in the evenings to do some sort of sports. Whether it was a racquetball league or just playing kickball, I was always out doing something. But things slowed down a bit with all those leagues when I hit 50. So, I started heading out to the garage to my little work bench. There, I would work on stuff that needed repair that I was capable of working on. Eventually, this led to restoring furniture and other stuff along with some wood working. All that stuff ended up crowding the garage. That’s why I now have a prefabricated building in my back yard as my work shop. What’s great is that I can be out there working in any weather because I just put in some HVAC equipment. The HVAC company sent out an HVAC technician to install a ductless mini split. That’s really simply a ductless heat pump. It sits up on the wall inside my workshop but is attached to a condenser and compressor outside under the eaves. Wow, is the heating and cooling so great with the ductless heat pump. I was astonished by the power it brings to heating and cooling.
