Our oil furnace was toiling overtime

Our oil furnace was toiling overtime and making our loft way too warm.

I came beach loft from labor a single cool Wintertide night and was happy to spend some family time near our old wood oil furnace playing some card games, but when I got home, the loft was much more than just warm, it was downright hot! I asked our wifey what she had the temperature control set to and she said she had only set it at 68 degrees, but there was no way that the loft was only at 68 degrees! I inspected the temperature control and yeah, it was indeed set at 68 degrees, but the actual temperature of the loft was 83! I was horrified that it was so hot, and turned the set temperature way down, hoping it would cool the loft to a normal temperature. Later that night, the loft did cool down, but it was still pretty warm. Every one of us all went to bed in shorts and a t-shirt because it was still quite warm. I woke up in the middle of the night chilly cold, and got up to check the temperature control again. Apparently, the oil furnace decided to stop toiling altogether that night. When morning came I called the heating and cooling company and tied up a time for an Heating and A/C company to come take a look at our old wood oil furnace. After the Heating and A/C company did her inspection on the oil furnace, she told myself and others there was a lot of labor to be done in order to get our oil furnace back into toiling condition. Luckily, the two of us had been saving for years to get a current oil furnace and were ready to get it installed. Every one of us got a current oil oil furnace in our loft and never had any heating or cooling complications since.
