Ever since quarantine, places have been slow to open around here.
Everyone is doing their best to navigate this new world and that means making some changes.
My family and I own an Italian food restaurant. We specialize in spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo, and pizza. We have a full service menu and we have a dining room, take out, and delivery services. We had to stop serving food during quarantine, but now things are starting to open back up and my family and I have to come up with a plan so we can open for business and still keep our patrons safe and healthy. I suggested that we install an air filtration system in the dining room. My dad was thrilled with the idea and thought it was fantastic, but my mom panicked when she saw how much money it would cost. We talked about the decision for a week, and then my mom was watching the news and changed her mind. A local restaurant opened early and they had five positive cases in the first week. That was all my mom needed to see for her to change her mind about the air filtration system. We called a special HVAC contractor that works on commercial restaurant systems. My Mom happily wrote the check to the contractor so he could start the installation process. It took three days to get the air filtration components set up, but everything is ready to go now. I hope the customers won’t be put off the loud hum from the air purifiers. We put out a lot of cash to make these indoor air upgrades and keep our customers safe.
