The next time you clean your house, ask yourself if you are really cleaning it.
- Wiping down the counters and mopping the floors is important, of course, but what about those nooks and crannies of the house that no one ever sees? The back corners of closets and underneath carpeting is where the real nasty filth hides out.
No matter how clean your house is, once or twice a year you should have some professionals check it out to see what you have been missing. For example, how clean is the air you breathe? If you have never removed the air vent covers and cleaned out your ductwork, then your air quality might very well be filthy. To be honest, even if you have removed your air vent covers, there are so many deep, recessed areas in your ductwork that you can’t possibly reach them all. To deep clean your air ducts, you really need to find a specialist, usually this means someone with their HVAC certification. But not always, because ductwork isn’t electronic or mechanical in nature, so you don’t need an education to specialize in it. The thing is that only HVAC techs have the skill set to reach the deepest parts of the air ducts. My cleaning company hired a former HVAC tech, a man who also used to make his own sheet metal and built his own air ducts, to be our in-house specialist. With his expertise, we can fully clean out any ductwork system, any air vents ,and any exhaust fans, and make them as clean as when they were new.
