When our partner and I got married, the two of us decided to go out of the country for a whole week.
Neither a single of us ever left the country, but the two of us packed our bags and boarded the plane for the first time in our lives.
Both of us flew 3,100 miles and it took almost 8 hours. Both of us arrived at a small desert island location and checked into our hotel after a brief ride in a taxi cab. My partner and I picked a venue with English-speaking people, so it would not be difficult to communicate. When the two of us checked into the hotel, the woman behind the desk was rude and discourteous, she acted like our partner and I were trash because the two of us came from America, and our room was supposed to have a view of the ocean, but the two of us only had a few of the parking lot. I made the front desk staff member move our room many peculiar times until I was pleased. Both of us also had complications with the cooling system in our room. It only ran half the time. Occasionally the cooling system would run and run until the room felt like an ice cube, and periodically the cooling system did not turn on at all while I was in the morning. It was extremely difficult to remain comfortable inside the room and our partner and I did not sleep certainly well. Both of us had a fun time on our honeymoon, but the two of us were each glad to return apartment after that week away. Both of us will not likely return to that location to celebrate our birthday or any other holiday in the future.
