We’re in the process of installing an air conditioner in our tool shed

Since we have both cars parked in our garage at any given moment, I realized I need a shed in the backyard as a place to work and keep my tools. Now that my work schedule has relaxed a bit, I finally have time on the weekends to pursue my woodworking hobby. Not only that, but my wife is thrilled to have a husband who can hang new shelves at any given moment. I also build her custom furniture whenever she has something in mind that she wants in the house or outside. Recently I added a new closet to our bedroom and built custom shelving from the ceiling down to the floor for her shoes and clothing. I’m happy to build her anything she wants, I just want excuses to put on my tool belt and get my power tools out to use them for a few hours every weekend. When I told her that I needed a shed for woodworking due to lack of sufficient space in the basement, she was more than happy to agree with the purchase. I even decided to order a custom made shed from an Amish company an hour away from our house. I love the new shed, especially the craftsmanship that went into making it. But I realized that I need an air conditioner in here during the summer season, otherwise it’s too hot to work. I’m spending the weekend installing a thru-wall air conditioner. I had to make a hole in the side of the shed, but the machine fit snugly before I sealed it with silicone caulk. I’m thrilled with my air conditioned tool shed.
