I did not comprehend what was going on but his diagnosis was that I needed a new HVAC, with no proper explanation! I became cautious and asked him to replace the unit, insisting nothing is wrong with my air quality systems. Still unresolved, I was stuck with carrying around the portable space heater to improve heating in the bedroom. Over the weekend I took time and sourced for a professional HVAC contractor who came over and assessed my HVAC equipment before deciding what to do. He asked if I was covered with an air conditioning service plan and if I understood what seer ratings mean. No to both, he mentioned the importance of having quality HVAC and scheduling regular HVAC service from a licensed technician. The situation wasn’t as bad and I managed to avoid paying for a new air conditioning installation had I waited longer.
