Decided to let the HVAC professional install a ductless mini split A/C system for me

When I was trying to figure out how much BTU I would need for an air conditioning system, I was a little confused about the calculations.

I ended up calling an HVAC technician and he came out for a free consultation.

I was honestly thinking about installing my own ductless mini split air conditioner, but I realized that the work seemed to be over my head. I watched the installation videos countless times but I couldn’t even figure out how much BTU I would need. The HVAC professional made everything easy for me. He was able to tell how much BTU I needed based on just sight. He said the living room would need 18,000 BTU and the other sections of the house would need 6,000 BTU each. The total I would need was approximately 30,000 BTU. I was glad the man was able to do all the math and he even considered the climate we had and everything. Since this HVAC professional seemed so knowledgeable, I decided to get an estimate for the installation of a ductless mini split air conditioner. The price was a little bit expensive, but at least I didn’t have to worry about the hassle of the installation on my own. I figured it was safer to have the HVAC professional take care of everything. I was feeling kind of strange though when I saw how easy he made the work look. Of course, just because he made it look easy didn’t mean it actually was. He had years of experience and schooling, and I had only watched a few installation videos.
