I advocate for clean energy but its a tough battle

I grew up in a minimalist home, so naturally I didn’t care for much for a while until I realized I could afford many things thanks to my well paying job.

A lot of the time we relied on wood stoves to keep the house warm and also had no indoor air cleaning system.

Once I went to college and moved to the big city, I was able to learn more about HVAC instantly. My roommate was kind enough to show me how to operate an electric heater and adjust the climate control features that help ensure quality AC service. Because it was a cold season when I joined college, I had the privilege of seeing different types of heating devices in use. Taking a walk around campus at some point, I came to learn about the different features of an oil heater, gas furnace, and a radiant heater. Most students had the radiant ones to help boost warmth. Clearly the heating business was booming more in cities than my hometown. The experience was quite an eye opener and It suddenly hit me that we use lots of wood to keep warm when we can just rely on much more morden options. I believed my parents were obviously aware of these technologically advanced heating appliances but they were stuck to their ways. Convincing them to embrace new technology was going to be an uphill task but I had to prepare for it. As the school session came to a close, I couldn’t wait to get home. Too bad I didn’t see any a/c reps in action performing boiler repair or cooling install but I am sure they have lots of air conditioner filter maintenance coming their way.
