I have been a HVAC professional for the last 10 years, and I have seen and learned quite a bit. A good bit about people and even more about the HVAC machines. Most of the houses I deal with are just normal regular houses. There was one house though, that really stood out. It was more like a mansion than a house and looked expensive. The owner was apparently getting his entire HVAC system upgraded, as well as other HVAC technologies in his house. There was so much being done to his home, that there were multiple HVAC professionals sent out to do all of the work, and his bill was quickly jumping up to the triple digits. I was honestly admiring his house though. It had huge white columns and just looked so elegant, it truly was a beautiful house. I also know that it would take a lot of work to make sure that a HVAC component could efficiently work in his home, with how large it is. Thankfully the owner was very nice and patient, unlike some of the other people that think since they make so much money, that they can be rude and nasty to us “lowly” HVAC servicemen. It’s incredibly annoying, so meeting this guy and seeing him be polite to us was a nice change. It took about 3 days and several hours of work, but eventually we were able to finish the new heating and cooling system in his home, complete with radiant heated flooring and a smart thermostat. When we finished, it worked great, and the guy was already talking about HEPA filters and air purifiers, so I think he will become a regular customer to our business.
