The Worker Changed My Thermostat Settings

Normally, our oil furnace only runs for a hour before stopping in the middle of the evening

I have a programmable control unit in our home. I care about it because I can set the temperature differently for different parts of the day, and the control unit will change the temperature for me. I care about this because I have two hot and cold temperatures that I like for different parts of our day, then right now, I like the temperature to be set to 72 degrees during the day and I love it to be 76 degrees in the evening. I guess this is only a 2 degree temperature difference, but these two temperature settings help me function best in our home, but last week, I had a supplier over to toil on our floors. They were installing brand modern hardwoods and I was excited. I didn’t bother decreasing the temperature before leaving because I knew it would be cool enough for them to work! By the time I returned to our house, it was late at evening and I was gushing over our modern floors. I spent a long time walking through each room and making sure everything was perfect. By the time I got into bed, I was exhausted and didn’t know about the temperature, then a few hours later, I woke up covered in sweat. I ripped the blankets off of me and tried to cool down. I could hear the oil furnace running, but I waited for it to stop. Normally, our oil furnace only runs for a hour before stopping in the middle of the evening. However, it ran for much longer and I was having a hard time cooling myself. I realized that one of the workers had unprogrammed our control unit and changed our control unit settings to 69 degrees! It was no wonder I was hot!
