My wife and I just moved into our new house. She needed a new job and this was the only one she could find. Since I work remotely, I’m not tied down to any location to continue my career. I encouraged my wife to take this job, if nothing else but to give her a change of pace with our scenery and environment here. However, we struggled at first to get used to our new city. It’s a lot denser here, and it’s hard to escape the sound of street noise and people yelling in the distance. We have a lot of options with shopping, but the sheer variety almost becomes a detriment. I almost feel like I should be trying all of these different stores if I ever tend to favor one or another. We still haven’t made many friends, and her job is turning out to be a lot harder than she initially expected. Thankfully we are both making decent money in our respective careers. And since the air conditioner in the house we purchased has reached its 15 year mark, we’ve decided to get a new one. At first, we weren’t sure which HVAC company to use for the installation as there are literally dozens in our immediate area. Eventually I thought that visiting the Chamber of Commerce might help, as they are typically involved in business outreach for their communities. Not only did our local Chamber of Commerce help us narrow down a few choices for HVAC companies, they also had coupons for air conditioner installations from more than one of them. I was so impressed that I plan to keep coming back when I need more advice on businesses in this community.
